Google started rolling out then new Android 7.0 Nougat update for it Nexus devices from last month. Earlier this month the LG V20 was launched, the first smartphone to ship with Android 7 Nougat. Now reports suggest that Android One devices will receive the Nougat update.

According to a report from GSM Arena, the tech giant has already started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for Android One devices. Last year also, Google rolled out new updates for Android One devices right after it was available in Nexus smartphones. We will have to wait and see, how these Android One devices will work with the latest Android OS.

There are rumours that the devices powered by Snapdragon 800 and Snapdragon 801 will not support Android 7.0 Nougat. Because Qualcomm has not made graphics drivers for the new Vulkan API, which is present in the latest version of Android to improve gaming performance.

Sony has already come up with the list of all of its devices that will be receiving the Nougat update but has not confirmed the time-frame in which it will be rolling it out. As per Sony, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia X Performance will be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
