Apple launched the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X at the event at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Campus on Tuesday. They have the same design as the previous iPhones, but has glass back which allows it have wireless charging feature. The Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are only available in two storage variants – 64GB and 256GB. Pre-orders in the US, the UK, China, Australia and 25 other countries will start on September 15, with shipping slated to begin on September 22.

iPhone 8 with 64GB has a price tag of Rs. 64,000 in India, while the 256 variant costs Rs. 77,000. The iPhone 8 Plus with 64GB storage has been priced at Rs. 73,000 and the 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 86,000. The iPhone 8 models’ release date in India is September 29. As for the iPhone 8 price in the US, the 64GB and 256GB variants of the smaller model will be $699 and $849, respectively, and the iPhone 8 Plus will cost $799 and $949 for the 64GB and 256GB variants.

The new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus has the same form factor and design. But there are a few noticeable changes including new colour options – Silver, Space Gray, and Gold Finish, improved display, 25 percent louder speakers, as well as glass front and back. Both models also support Qi wireless inductive charging. Both smartphones are powered by A11 Bionic SoC six-core processors and improved GPU, which is claimed to be 30 percent more efficient than the GPUs in last year’s models.
New iPhones also have improved cameras, photos now have better details. The iPhone 8 continues to have 12 megapixel camera, and the iPhone 8 Plus a duo of 12 megapixel camera sensors. Both smartphones are also capable of recording 1080p slow motion videos in 240 frames per second.
