Three smartphones priced under Rs. 13,000 with good specifications, which one to choose? The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was launched back in January. It has two variants, one with 2GB of RAM/16GB of storage and 3GB of RAM/32GB of storage. The Coolpad Note 5 was launched on October 1st with 4GB RAM and 32GB of storage. The new kid is ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini, launched just a few days ago with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

The Coolpad Note 5 and Nubia Z11 mini are powered by a Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor. The same can be seen in Moto G4 Plus smartphone as well. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is powered by a Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor. Never mind the count of cores, technically the Snapdragon 650 is more powerful here. But there will not be much difference in normal usage, you will have to do a benchmark test to find the difference. Considering the RAM, Coolpad Note 5 has the most, 4GB.
Coolpad Note 5 has a 13 MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. Both the Nubia Z11 Mini and Redmi Note 3 has 16 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, which is better than Coolpad Note 5. Coolpad Note 5 has an 8MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture, Nubia Z11 Mini has an 8MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture, and the Redmi Note 3 has a 5 MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. Redmi note 3 will help you to capture more area, mean it will be easy for you take selfies with your friends. If you take lot of selfies, go for Redmi Note 3 or Coolpad Note 5, ignore Nubia Z11 Mini, because it has the worst f/2.4 aperture.
Coolpad Note 5 and Redmi Note 3 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display, which will be identical for most users. Nubia Z11 Mini has a 5-inch full HD IPS display, with a higher pixel density of 441ppi, which give sharper display quality. Coolpad Note 5 claims to have some kind of scratch resistant protection, but it is not Gorilla Glass. Nubia Z11 Mini has Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 also doesn’t have Gorilla Glass protection but the company claims the display has proet5ction equal to Gorilla Glass 4.
The toughness of a screen is measured by ‘Vicker’s Hardness Test’. A Vicker’s Hardness Number is calculated by dividing the amount of force applied by the square millimeter of the indent.

Xiaomi says the Redmi Note 3′s screen has a Vicker’s Hardness Number of 649 – 670 kgf/mm2. This number is comparable with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4, which is present on most high-end flagship smartphones these days.
Coolpad Note 5 has a 4010 mAh battery and Redmi Note 3 has a 4050mAh battery. Nubia Z11 Mini has the lowest capacity 2800mAh battery here.
If you want more RAM, go with Coolpad Note 5 and if you want a smaller smartphone go for ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini. If you want a smartphone which is already here for few month, with good display, battery and camera go for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. As the Redmi Note 3 has two variants, you have the choice to save Rs. 2000 if there is no need for 3GB of RAM.
