There is a delay in shipment of the Galaxy Note 7 in India due the recall. Samsung had to recall the Galaxy Note 7 from Indian markets dues to a battery cell explosion issue even before the launch. Now the company announced it will be bundling the new Gear VR headset with Galaxy Note 7 for free.

Customers who prebooked for the new flagship will also get a $50 (approx. Rs. 3,300) Oculus content voucher. The company had updated this information in their website.

To recall, customers who pre-booked the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 were initially offered the new Gear VR headset with a discount as their pre-booking incentive. Priced at Rs. 7,290, pre-booking customers were offered a discounted price of Rs. 1,990.

Samsung officially launched their Galaxy Note7 in India for Rs.59900. Samsung Galaxy Note7 is powered by a Exynos 8890 octa core 14nm, 64 bit processor (four cores clocked at 2.3GHz and four cores clocked at 1.6GHz). It has 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB UFS 2.0 storage. Micro SD card up to 256 GB is supported. The phone will be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Samsung’s own skin out of the box.

Samsung Galaxy Note7 comes with a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED dual edge curved screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The handset weighs 169 grams including the 3500 mAh battery and measures 153.5×73.9×7.9mm.. It will be IP68 certified, means it car resist dust and eater from entering inside up to a level. The phone does support wireless charging.
