Google is expected to launch their new Pixel smartphones on 4th October. There are reports that Google is also planning to launch a new 7-inch tablet later this year. Evan Blass, aka @evleaks tweeted that, Huawei will build the tablet and it will have 4GB of RAM and a 7-inch display. The leakster didn’t reveal the exact launch date and only said that it is “on track for release before the end of the year.” May be the company will launch the tablet on the same day as well.

The two upcoming smartphone, which were codenamed Saifish and Marlin will be launched with the name Pixel and Pixel XL. These are not the first Google Pixel device, last year Google launched a tablet called the Pixel C. The company is also expected to launch a 4K ready Chromecast and a Daydream VR headset.

Evan Blass’ post also lines up with what Huawei’s GM of Consumer Electronics,Charlene Munilall had said to GearBurn few months ago. “We’re doing the Nexus again this year, by the way,” Munilall said, and many assumed that she was talking about smartphones. However, she may have been hinting at a 7-inch tablet instead.
