Google is expected to launch the new Pixel smartphones in an event on October 4th along with some other products. Ahead of the launch, we got some leaked images of the press render of the Google Pixel Smartphone.

It was revealed by Venture Beat, the image shows the smaller version Pixel smartphone with the screen turned on. The home screen shows the new UI and icons. The rounded app icons give the phone a fresh look. These rounded icons might be only for Pixel smartphones and not for other phones running Android 7.0 Nougat. Google Pixel smartphones are also expected to come with Android 7.1 Nougat, with several new features and fixes.

The new interface may bring additional interface like the Apple’s 3D touch, without using a pressure sensitive display. This press render image is almost same as the previously leaked images of the Pixel phone.

according to Android Police’s David Ruddock, the Pixel smartphone will be available in “Very Silver and Quite Black” color variants.

Previous leak gives us a hint on what to expect on the hardware side. The Google Pixel smartphone, codenamed ‘Sailfish’ will be powered by a quad-core 64-bit quad-core processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It will sport a 5-inch full HD display with a pixel density of 440ppi. There will be a 12MP camera on the rear and an 8MP camera on the front. USB Type-C will be available for connectivity and charging; the battery will be 2770mAh. Speaker will be placed at the bottom, near the USB Type-C connector.

The higher model will be called The Google Pixel XL codenamed ‘Marlin’, with a larger display and powered by a quad-core Qualcomm chip that is clocked at 1.59GHz.Google should be using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor; other speculations say it might come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. All other hardware features might be almost the same.
