Google is expected to launch their new line of smartphones on the October 4 event. There were already lots leaks including pictures and benchmarks of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL. Google Pixel and Pixel XL Listed by Retailer and Carriers
Carphone Warehouse revealed the phone highlighting all its major features and specifications. Both the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones have the tagline “Introducing Pixel. Phone by Google”. The images look just like the leaked renders. The UI has circular icons, which is expected to be exclusive only for Pixel smartphones. There are no capacitive buttons on the front, which leaves a fairly large bezel at the bottom of the phone.
The power button and volume control are placed on the right side. The USB Type-C and the 3.5mm headphone jack are placed on the bottom. The images also suggest dual speaker setup on either sides of the USB Type-C port. On the rear we can see the camera, flash module and the noise cancelling secondary microphone on the top right corner. Finger print scanner is also placed on the middle of the rear panel; at the bottom we can see the ‘G’ logo. The top and bottom seems to feature a combination of contrasting colors.
The Pixel and Pixel XL is expected to come preloaded with the applications like Allo and Duo. The phones will also have support for Quick Charge which promises up to 7 hours of battery backup on 15 minutes of charging. The devices are also rumored to come with unlimited storage for photos and video with google Photos.
