Google is reportedly testing a new feature, that will update large apps or games only through WiFi. Android Police has published few pictures of this new feature, which is only available for new users now. Google Play Store app will show a dialogue box while attempting to download lathe files using Mobile data.

The dialogue box says, “This app is very large. To avoid potential delays or extra data usage charges, use Wi-Fi only.” All Google Play Store apps already has an option to use only WiFi for auto-updates. This feature will allow users to select a new option, to set ‘Download using Wi-Fi only’ as default. If this option is not selected, then the dialogue box will show and there will be two options – Download Now and Wait for WiFi. This warning will show only if you are trying to download a file larger than 100MB. The ‘Beta’ warning is clearly visible in the screenshot, and this new feature only available for few users. Hopefully Google will launch this new feature for every android device soon.
