HTC launched the Vive VR internationally in April 2016. After one year, the company has launched the device in India priced at Rs. 92,990. It will be available exclusively from Amazon India, pre-orders will start from Saturday, April 22. The HTC Vive VR is priced at $799 (approx. Rs. 51,000) in Amazon.com. The Sony PS VR is already available in India for a far cheaper Rs. 41,990.
HTC Vive VR Headset
This is not a standalone device, users will have to spend separately in a high-end PC to make the Vive work. The minimum PC spec for running the Vive is either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or an AMD Radeon R9 290 graphics card (coupled with 4GB of RAM or more).
The device will come with VR controllers, room scale movement, and headset that features built in camera. The headset features high quality graphics, 90 frames per second video and high audio fidelity.

Users will be able to access a number of app specially designed for the HTC Vive by using Viveport app store. Viveport will offer VR-based apps across education, design, art, social, video, music, sports, health, fashion, travel, news, shopping, creativity tools and more.
