Huawei Nova

Huawei unveiled their new Nova series smartphones, the Huawei Nova and Nova Plus. The company also announced the MediPad M3 tablet.

The Huawei Nova has been priced at EUR 399 (roughly Rs. 29,800) while the Huawei Nova Plus has been priced at EUR 429 (roughly Rs. 32,000). The Huawei MediaPad M3 on the other hand has been priced at EUR 349 (roughly Rs. 26,100) for its 32GB Wi-Fi only version, EUR 399 (roughly Rs. 29,800) for its 64GB Wi-Fi only version and 32GB LTE version, and EUR 449 (roughly Rs. 37,300) for 64GB LTE version. The smartphones will be available in 50 markets from October. Mediapad M3 will start its sale in 14 countries from September 26.

Both smartphones have different designs, but both are made out of aircraft-grade aluminium, and both have fingerprint sensors on the rear panel. The Nova looks like the Huawei P9, and the Nova Plus look like the Huawei Mate S or Huawei G9 Plus. Both Nova versions will be available in Titanium Grey, Mystic Silver, and Prestige Gold variants.

The Huawei Nova is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM. This hybrid dual SIM smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 skin out of the box. It has a 5 inch Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS LCD display. There is a 12MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture on the back, and an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture on the front. Huawei Nova comes with a 32GB internal storage with MicroSD card support up to 128GB. The smartphone has 4G LTE (Cat. 6) connectivity, a USB Type-C port, and a 3020mAh battery.

Huawei Nova Plus

Huawei Nova Plus has a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display. There is a 16MP camera on the rear and an 8MP camera on the front. It has a 4000 mAh battery and other features are similar to Huawei Nova smartphone.

Huawei MediPad M3

Huawei MediPad M3 is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 950 SoC (four cores at 2.3GHz and four cores at 1.8GHz) with 4GB of RAM. The device will have an aluminium body and will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 out of the box. It will be available in 32GB and 64GB variants. There will be an LTE version using a Nano-SIM card. Storage is further expandable using a MicroSD card up to 128GB. Huawei MediPad M3 also has fingerprint sensor on the home button.
