Newly leaked images suggest that the iPhone 7 might have wireless charging and could be water resistant. According to Playfuldroid the leaked images was captured at an official Foxconn conference. The leaked images show dual camera setup on the iPhone 7 Plus. The iPhone 7 is expected to have a redesigned larger camera. The iPhone 7 Plus will be boasting dual lens system. The website also says the iPhone 7 will be running on iOS 10. The iPhone 7 my not feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, which was also reported by some other websites few days ago. Amount of data stored in mobile phones can easily exceed the 16 GB limit these days.
Another website WSJ says that Apple will increase the base storage of iPhone 7 to 32 GB. Getting rid of the 16GB version will be considered as a positive move by many users. Apple may not launch a 64 GB version anymore. Instead they will launch an entry level tier of 32 GB (instead of the 16GB model), a 128 GB mid-range tier and a 256 GB top end tier.
The biggest change will be the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack, which will make the device much thinner and will improve its water resistance. Instead of the headphone socket users will have to use wireless headphones or use the lightning socket, with a lightning headphone jack adapter. Even with the new internal configuration, iPhone 7 wont present a new design. There will be more changes to the home button and arrangement of the antenna bands. Reports suggests that there will be a space black variant, which has not been used since the 2013 iPhone 5S. Other expected colour variants are Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and Space grey. Apple may present more significant changes and upgrades with the iPhone’s 10th anniversary in 2017. It is expected that Apple will ditch the “S” model and move on straight to an updated design with the iPhone 8 8 in 2017.
The next iPhone, iPhone 7 is expected to come out in September.
