The Jio SIM was only available for LYF branded smartphones at first. Now the Jio Preview offer is also applicable on 4G smartphones from other brands, which includes Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Asus, Micromax, YU, Alcatel, TCL, Lava, Gionee, Karbonn and Xolo.

If you have 4G enabled smartphone from Sony, Videocon or Sansui, you have to download and install the MyJio app from PlayStore and generate the barcode. All you have to do is to carry this barcode along with your documents, one passport size photo, one identity and address proof.

You will get a Reliance Jio SIM card, once the documents are accepted, you will receive a text message on your alternate contact number. Insert the Jio SIM card in your smartphone and dial 1977 to activate it. After the connection is activated, you can enjoy unlimited internet access and downloads and make unlimited voice calls.

If you dont have a 4G device which qualifies for the offer, you can buy the JioFi2 MiFi device. Reliance JioFi 2 MiFi portable hotspot is currently priced at Rs.2899. These devices come with a free Jio SIM card which have the 90 days’ preview offer. This offers will allow you to use unlimited data, Unlimited VoLTE calls and unlimited access to all Jio apps for 90 days from the date of purchase. We are only paying for the JioFi 2 device and it comes with unlimited high-speed internet, HD voice calls and access to Jio suite of apps for 90 days. You can’t possibly go wrong with the JioFi 2.
