Motorola unveiled the Moto E3 smartphone last month, revealing its specifications and price tag of GBP 99 (approx. Rs.8800). It was supposed to be available in UK in early September. Now another variant called Moto E3 Power is on sale in a third-party retail site in Hong Kong – with no official announcement for it yet. As the name suggests, Moto E3 Power comes with a better battery, and some upgrades to features. E3 Power is sells at a price tag of HKD 1098 (approx. Rs.9500).

There was no official announcement from Motorola, so it is still unknown if we can expect this model in India or not. It has a 64-bit 1GHz MediaTek MT6735P quad-core SoC paired with 2GB RAM. This handset has 16GB internal memory with MicroSD card support up to 128GB. E3 Power has 5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720. There is an 8MP Auto Focus camera on the rear and a 5 MP selfie camera on the front. The dual SIM (Micro) handset has a 3500mAh battery. Moto E3 had a 2,390 mAh battery.
Moto E3 Power runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Considering Motorola’s track record with Android updates, there is a high possibility of this one getting Android 7.0 Nougat update very soon. Other features are 4G LTE, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. Moto E3 Power will be available only in black colour.
Motorola posted a teaser in Moto India Twitter account indicating that the smartphone may be launched in India soon. This teaser highlights some of the big features of the Moto E3 Power. These include bigger battery, better multi-tasking and camera quality. Moto E3 Power is an upgraded version of Moto E3, the company could skip straight to the upgraded Moto E3 Power. Means Moto E3 may not be launched in India.
