Lenovo launched their new budget smartphone, the Moto G4 Play in India. The device is priced at Rs.8999, and will be available exclusively from Amazon from 10pm Today (6th September). Moto G4 Play is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC paired and 450Mhz Adreno 306 GPU with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone has 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a MicroSD card. There is an 8MP camera on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. The front-facing camera is of 5MP, with display flash features. The rear camera can record full HD videos at 30 FPS. The device will sport 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display.
Connectivity options of the Moto G4 Play are 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It has a 2800mAh battery, with a 10W rapid charger included in the box. The company claims that the device can provide 5 hours of battery life from just 15 minutes of charging.
These specifications make the device one of the lowest-end smartphone from Motorola. But the Moto G4 Play will offer the same software experience as the more powerful siblings, he device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. The device weighs 137 grams and the dimensions are 72mm x 144.4mm x 9.9mm.
The Moto G4 Play was first revealed on May, shortly after the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus were announced for the country. Moto G4 Play will compete with the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime and Lenovo’s Vibe K5 Plus. Both devices have 3GB RAM and higher resolution camera than the Moto G4 Play.
