It was expected that Motorola will launch the Moto E3 Power first in India. But the latest Twitter post from Motorola confirms the launch of Moto G4 Play on 6th September as an Amazon exclusive.

Moto G4 Play is powered by a Snapdragon MSM8916 510 SoC. There will be a 5 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 294 ppi. Moto G4 Play was expected to be launched around Rs.10000. Moto G4 Play will offer a removable battery feature, unlike most phones in the market today in this segment.
This 4G LTE handset will have a 2800 mAh removable battery. There will be Water repellent nano-coating just like the previous generation Moto G handsets. The handset will weight 137g and dimension are Height: 144.4 mm, Width: 72 mm, Depth: 8.95 mm to 9.9 mm. There is 2GB RAM and 16 GB ROM, with expandable storage support up to 128GB using a MicroSD card. Moto G4 Play has 8MP camera on the rear with a f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP camera on the front ƒ/2.2 aperture.
Other features are 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth version 4.1 LE and GPS with A-GPS support. Supported sensors are; Accelerometer, Proximity and Ambient Light. The handset will be available in both Black or white variants.
