Lenovo is expected to launch the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones at the MWC 2017 this month. Ahead of the launch, a Spanish online retailer accidentally listed the yet-to-be-announced smartphones with official renders and specifications. Later the Spanish retailer pulled down the listing.
Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus Design
The newly leaked renders are in line with the previous leaks. Both smartphones will sport metal bodies and will come with Lenovo branding on the side panels. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the front and the primary camera has a circular design at the back. The Moto “M” logo is placed on the back as well.
Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus Specifications
Both smartphones will have full-HD display resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, support to expand storage up to 128GB using MicroSD card and both of them will also run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Other similarities in the handsets include fingerprint scanner at the front, 2GB of RAM, 5-megapixel front camera, and water repellent coating. Both Moto G5 and G5 Plus are expected to come in Lunar Grey and Fine Gold colours.
The Moto G5 smartphone will be powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC. It will come with a 5-inch full-HD display with a pixel density of 441ppi. There will be 32GB of internal storage and a 2800mAh battery with rapid charging support. The Moto G5 smartphone will measure 144.3x73x9.5mm while weigh 145 grams.
The Moto G5 Plus will be powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC. It will come with a larger 5.2-inch full-HD display. There will be 64GB of internal storage and a 3000mAh battery with TurboPower Charging. The Moto G5 Plus has a 12MP rear camera with dual autofocus feature. It measure 150.2x74x7.9mm and weigh 155 grams.
