New Meizu Pro 5 running on Ubuntu

Meizu Pro 5 will soon be available running Ubuntu out of the box instead of the usual Android OS. The Meizu Pro 5 Ubuntu Edition is a result of partnership between Meizu (for hardware) and Canonical (who will manage the Ubuntu software part).
Inside the hood the Meizu Pro 5 (Ubuntu Edition) will be powered by Samsung Exynos 7420 64 bit octa core processor with Mali T760 GPU. This is a dual SIM handset (SIM 1 + Hybrid SIM 2). This smartphone comes with a Super AMOLED screen of 5.7 inches size with 2.5D glass and gorilla glass 3 protected. Screen resolution is 1920 x 1080 (FHD) pixels.

This version of Pro 5 is packed with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM and micro SD support. A 21.6MP Laser AF camera is placed on the rear and 5MP camera on the front. Rear camera can shoot 4K videos. Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type C port and finger print sensor. This handset gets power from a 3050 mAh battery.

The Meizu PRO 5 to be re-launched as the world’s most powerful Ubuntu Phone
