MHD Global recently launched the Nokia 6 smartphone and it seems to be an immediate success for the company. HMD Global might be planning to bring back the nostalgic Nokia N-series smartphones. The company is also expected to launch a new version of the Nokia 3310 phone.
The “NSERIES” trademark has showed up in China’s patent office files by HMD Global. The last N-series smartphone was the Nokia N9 which was launched back in 2011. Nokia did launch the last N-series product in form of a tablet in 2015 – the Nokia N1.
Nokia P1 Android Phone
Nokia is also expected to launch a new Android based P1 smartphone at the MWC 2017. It could be the Nokia P1 is based on Sharp Aquos Xx3 (above image) smartphone, which was launched last year in Japan.
According a report by Russian publication Worket the Nokia P1 smartphone’s price is expected to start at $800 (approx. Rs. 54,500) for the 128GB model and around $950 (approx. Rs. 64,700) for the 256GB model. This smartphone will run Android Nougat out of the box and will sport a 5.3-inch display protected by Gorilla Glass. The display will come with either full-HD or QHD screen resolution. It will be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM.
The Nokia P1 smartphone is expected to sport a 22.6MP rear camera. It will house a 3500mAh battery with support for quick charging. This smartphone will be water and dust resistance, and the phone is expected to be IP57-certified. There is a fingerprint scanner on the right of the device as well, as per the report.
