Oppo has revealed its new sub-brand for India, Realme. The company also launched the first smartphone under the new brand, the Realme 1 with a price tag of Rs. 8,999. The smartphone will be available in three variants, one with 3GB RAM/32GB storage, second with 4GB RAM/64GB storage and the third with 6GB RAM/128GB storage. It will be available as an Amazon exclusive from 25th May.
OPPO Realme 1 Specifications
The OPPO Realme 1 is powered by a MediaTek MT6771 Helio P60 chipset coupled with with Mali G72MP3 GPU. This smartphone will be available in 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB storage options. It has a 6 inch display with a 2160 x 1080 px resolution, which translates into an 18:9 aspect ratio. There is support for MicroSD cards up to 256GB in case you run out of the onboard storage provided. It has a 13MP camera on the back along with an 8MP front-facing camera.
The The OPPO Realme 1 runs ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. There are triple slots, separate dedicated slot for micro SD card. Other features are 4G, VoLTE, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. A 3410 mAh battery powers this handset. This handset weighs 158 grams and is 7.8mm thick. There is no fingerprint sensor, and dual rear camera setup is also missing. This can be a deal breaker for many as a fingerprint sensor has become a norm for any smartphone these days.
