Reliance Jio has crossed the 50 million subscriber mark in less than three months after launching its 4G services for everyone.
Reliance Jio Crossed 50-Million Subscriber Milestone in 83 days
According to PTI’s sources, Reliance Jio set a new record by acquired 1000 new customers per minute and 6 lakhs per day. “Jio continues to be the fastest growing company in the world and has crossed 50 million subscribers in record 83 days,” PTI’s sources pointed out.
Airtel took 12 years to reach the 50 million subscriber mark, Vodafone and Idea took 13 years each. Unlike other telecom companies, Jio had a lot to offer its customers. Reliance Jio welcome offer was launched in September 5 this year, which helped them to achieve 16 million users in the first month itself.
Airtel has 262.67 million mobile subscribers in October, Jio has reached one fifth of it. According to the latest data by cellular association COAI, Vodafone had 201.90 million subscribers and Idea Cellular 180.25 million users.
Jio has become India’s largest digital services operator with highest number of mobile broadband users. Airtel only have 41 million 3G and 4G customers, and it took them 6 years to achieve. While comparing only 4G networks, Reliance Jio currently has five times more customers than Airtel’s 10 million. It is 17 times more while comparing with Idea’s 3 millions subscribers.
