Samsung India has began sending invites for a Galaxy J-series launch in Gurgaon on Monday. It might be the launch of Galaxy J7 Prime, which was launched last month in Vietnam.

Recently, a retailer from Mumbai revealed the new smartphone will be launching in India soon for Rs. 18,790 with a MRP of Rs. 19,400. Galaxy J7 Prime is the upgraded version of the Galaxy J7 (2017). The Galaxy J7 Prime will have a full HD display, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and 8MP front camera. The older Galaxy J7 (2017) had an HD display, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a 5MP front camera. Galaxy J7 Prime will also come with a fingerprint scanner, which was not available in Galaxy J7 (2017).
The dual-SIM (Micro-SIM) smartphone will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It has a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Galaxy J7 Prime will be powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.
The 13MP rear camera will come with an f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. The front camera is an 8MP sensor with an f/1.9 aperture. The 32GB internal storage can be expanded up to 256GB using a MicroSD card. The Galaxy J7 (2017) supported only up to 128GB external memory. The device measures 151.5×74.9×8.1mm and will sport a 300mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, Micro-USB (with OTG), and 3.5mm audio jack in terms of connectivity options.
