Samsung today officially launched their Galaxy Note7 in India for Rs.59900. Note7 will be available in black, silver and gold color options from 2nd September.

Samsung Galaxy Note7 is powered by a Exynos 8890 octa core 14nm, 64 bit processor (four cores clocked at 2.3GHz and four cores clocked at 1.6GHz). Some regions including the US will receive a variant powered by the Snapdragon 820 SoC (two Kryo cores clocked at 2.15GHz and two Kyro cores clocked at 1.6GHz). It has 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB UFS 2.0 storage. Micro SD card up to 256 GB is supported. Samsung Galaxy Note7 is using a hybrid sim slot, which means users can either use two sims cards or one sim card and one Micro SD card at a time. The phone will be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Samsung’s own skin out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy Note7 comes with a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED dual edge curved screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. This screen has gorilla glass 5 protection. The handset weighs 169 grams including the 3500 mAh battery and measures 153.5×73.9×7.9mm.. It will be IP68 certified, means it car resist dust and eater from entering inside up to a level. The phone does support wireless charging.
There is a 12 MP camera on the rear with Dual Pixel technology for better low-light photography, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), optical image stabilisation (OIS), an f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, and Auto-HDR feature. There is a 5 MP selfie camera on the front with an f/1.7 aperture. Both front as well as rear camera have f/1.7 aperture. Samsung Galaxy Note7 comes with an improved S-Pen. Other features are 4G LTE, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, MST, USB Type C port, Iris scanner, Finger print scanner, heart rate sensor, Barometer, Bluetooth 4.2and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Note 7 has support for accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.
For security Galaxy Note 7’s Knox security suite now supports bio-metric authentication from both the iris scanner and fingerprint scanner.
Pre-booking starts from august 22 and will end on August 30. As a pre-booking offers, users will get the new Gear VR at a discounted price of Rs.1990. Samsung also announced that users can avail the Reliance Jio Preview Offer, which comes with 90 days of free data and other benefits alongside access to the Jio Digital Life content service.
