Samsung launched the Galaxy On 7 Prime smartphone in India on Wednesday at an event in Gurugram. Main highlights of this smartphone are the support for Samsung Pay mini, a new Samsung Mall visual search feature, and the use of 13MP sensors on the front and back. The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime will be available in India priced at Rs. 12,990 for the 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage variant and the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB of internal storage will cost Rs. 14,990. The phone will be available in Gold and Black colour variants in India. It is exclusive to Amazon India and the Samsung Shop, and will go on sale from January 20.
Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime specifications
This smartphone is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC, coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. It has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) PLS TFT LCD display with 16M colour depth. The internal storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB) with a dedicated microSD card slot.
The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime has a 13MP CMOS rear sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and autofocus. Front camera also uses the same sensor, but without the autofocus feature.
The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime is a dual-SIM (nano) smartphone running Samsung Experience 8.5 customisation on top of Android 7.1.1 out of the box. Battery capacity is 3300mAh and the phone measures 151.7×75.0x8.0mm, and weighs 167 grams. Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. A fingerprint sensor can be found on the home button of the smartphone, while it also bears hardware capacitive keys.
