Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro Review
Just like On5 Pro, On7 Pro looks exactly like its old model, the On7 which was launched last year. Design is just like most Samsung smartphones and build quality is good for the price. Power buttons is on the right side and volume rocker is on the left side. As usual the 3.5mm audio jack, mic and USB port are placed on the bottom. There is no secondary mic for voice cancellation. Just like On5 Pro there is no LED notification in On7 Pro.
Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro comes with a 5.5 inch TFT display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with 267 ppi pixel density. Colors reproduction and viewing angles are good as expected.
RAM and Storage
Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. You can expand the storage up to 128 GB using a Micro SD card. You will get around 1 GB RAM and 11 GB storage on the first boot.
Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro has a 13 MP auto focus camera on the back with f/2.1 aperture and a 5MP fixed focus camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture. Rear camera is powerful enough to shot Full HD videos. Camera quality is average.
Performance and OS
On7 Pro runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Handset can run 64bit OS , but the Android version running is 32bit. Unlike On5 Pro, the On7 Pro seems to perform very well. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad core Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with Adreno 306 GPU. The handset delivers smooth performance and the handset doesn’t seem to produce much heat while gaming. You can play Asphalt 8 in high graphic settings without any lag.

This is a dual sim (2 x micro sim) handset with 4G VoLTE support. Bluetooth v4.1 is also supported. There is WiFi direct and hotspot support. GPS is there is A-GPS, GLONASS/BDS support. Charging port is a normal Micro USB 2.0 port.
Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro comes with a 3000 mAh Li-on removable battery and it does its job very well. You will be able to get 6-8 hours of non-stop moderate to heavy usage out of the On7 Pro. With normal usage we can expect backup for more than a day. Playing Asphalt 8 for 9 minutes reduced the battery life 3% and the temperature was 33 degrees. Playing a Full HD video for 47 minutes in full brightness eat up 10% battery life and the temperature was 33 degrees. It will take 3 and half hour to charge the battery from 0% to 100% using the provided charger.
Weight with the battery is 171 grams. Dimensions are 77.48 x x151.71 x 8.01mm. The device has only two sensors – accelerometer and proximity. The handset supports up to 14 Indian regional languages. Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro has Ultra Data Saving (UDS) and S-Bike mode support. In-call and main speaker sound in loud and clear. On7 Pro supports 4G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth.
On7 Pro is good for the price, but it is not the best available smartphone for this price in the market.
