Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to be launched by next month, but rumors are not yet stopping. The latest report gives information about Samsung’s digital assistant – Bixby, it could come with support for 8 languages.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Bixby Digital Assistant
South Korean publication ETNews reports that the Samsung Galaxy S8’s digital assistant Bixby will support eight languages on launch itself. Google Assistant that was launched last year, which supports only few languages including English, Hindi, German, and Portuguese (only on Allo). Apple’s Siri is currently offering support for more than 30 languages.
According to an earlier report, the Samsung Galaxy S8 camera app will have an integrated Bixby button. Users can use it to activate the virtual assistant and do visual search on the thing that the camera is pointed towards. The report states that ‘Bixby will analyse the image, and identify objects and text. It will help you search for that object, or use optical character recognition to process any text you point the phone at’. Bixby is a result of Samsung’s acquisition of Viv Labs- a company that was responsible for building Siri. The text recognition feature will be useful to translate unknown languages while traveling.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Leaked Specifications
According to latest leaks specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come with 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch display variants. Both of them will run the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB using MicroSD card.
Samsung Galaxy S8 is believed to be 11 times faster, 23 percent graphics faster, and be 20 percent more battery efficient than its predecessor. The battery capacity will be 3000mAh or 3500Mah for the two variants. Front camera will be 8MP and rear camera will be 12MP with f/1.7 aperture.
