Samsung might follow other smartphone makers like Apple by removing the 3.5mm headphone jack from their upcoming flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S8. Another report suggests the phone will not include a Home Button and the front camera will have auto focus feature unlike their previous flagships.

Samsung Galaxy S8 to ditch the 3.5mm Headphone Jack
Sammobile reports that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will only come with a USB Type-C port, and will come with a 3.5mm headphone to USB Type-C Adapter. That means you won’t be able to use the wired headphones while charging. Earlier, LeEco, Motorola and Apple also launched their smartphones without the 3.5mm audio jack.
Another report claims that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will ditch the company’s signature home button. The fingerprint scanner might be placed under the screen. Samsung may also use pressure-sensitive screen like Apple did from their iPhone 6s.
Sammobile previously reported the Samsung Galaxy S8 to have a high screen-to-body ratio while the design will remind the Galaxy Note 7. Samsung may also stick with the 2K display resolution as seen in the Galaxy S7.
Samsung’s previous flagship came with fixed focus front camera, but it is about to change with the launch of the Galaxy S8. If the rumors are correct, the Galaxy S8 will be announced on the side-line of WMC 2017 in Barcelona on February 26.
