Sony revealed their new Xperia X Compact at the IFA 2016 and now the device is on sale in selected markets. This smartphone is priced at EUR 449 (approximately Rs. 34,000) for the unlocked version in Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg. It is also available in the UK at GBP 360 (approximately Rs. 32,000) without contract. Sony Xperia X Compact Price in India will be higher after import taxes.
Sony announced the Xperia X Compact along with the flagship Xperia XZ. The company has not revealed their plans to launch the device in other markets including India. It is expected that; Sony will launch the Xperia XZ first in India followed by the Xperia X Compact.
The Sony Xperia X Compact has a 4.6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720×1280. It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor paired with 3GB RAM. It has a 23MP rear camera using Sony’s own IMX300 sensor with LED flash. The front camera is using a 5MP sensor. Sony Xperia X Compact also have USB Type-C and it will be available in both single and dual SIM variants.
Both smartphones come with Sony’s Triple image sensing technology. Sony Xperia XZ is IP65/IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. Xperia XZ has a 5.2 inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The handset does support to expand storage up to 200GB using a MicroSD card. Xperia XZ will come with USB Type-C and will support Quick Charge features. This device has a 23 MP rear camera using Sony’s own IMX300 sensor with LED flash and the front camera is a 13MP sensor. Sony Xperia XZ has a 2900mAh battery.
