Incidents of torrent websites shutting down have been increased in the last two years. Weeks after the shutdown of Kickass Torrents, torrentz.eu also stopped their service. Torrentz.eu was considered as the largest torrent meta-search engine. They announced farewell to its millions of users. After 13 years of service, the site announced its farewell without any warning. The homepage is still active, but its search functionality is completely removed. If you search for any content in torrentz.eu, you will get the following message – “Torrentz was a free, fast and powerful meta-search engine combining results from dozens of search engines”.
People were searching for alternate ways to search torrent. The fact is the best torrent searching is gone. There were clones of Kickass torrents available in internet, just like that there is a new Torrentz.eu clone now. The clone sit performs just like the original site, to keep the functionality of the main site alive.
You can check out the fully functional clone site right here.
The homepage for the clone site says, “Torrentz2.eu is a clone of Torrentz, a free, fast and powerful meta-search engine combining results from dozens of search engines.”
Last month, Artem Vaulin, the alleged 30-year-old Ukrainian owner of Kickass Torrents, was detained in Poland and was charged with a four-count US criminal indictment, which was followed by shutdown of the torrent site.
