Videocon launched their new Cube 3 smartphone in India with panic button that was recently made mandatory by government to include in both smartphones and feature phones. The 4G VoLTE supported Videocon Cube 3 smartphone will be priced at Rs.8490 and will be available in offline stores across the country.
The panic button will be inside the SOS-Be Safe app, which will use the power button as a panic button to send SOS to pre-registered numbers. The SOS-Be Safe app also has features like Alert, Walk with Me, and Reach on Time. Tis app will also use GPS to show nearby police stations and hospitals which can be useful in an emergency.
Videocon Cube 3 will be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM. It will come with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) IPS display with 2.5D curved glass and Dragontrail X protection. This dual SIM smartphone will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. There is a 13MP PDAF camera on the rear with dual-LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash. There is 32GB internal storage which can be expandable using a MicroSD card. The Videocon Cube 3 has 4G VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, a 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB. This device will have a 3000mAh battery.
