WhatsApp Revoke Feature to Delete Sent Message

WhatsApp recently updated their beta app for iOS with an option to ‘revoke’ messages. According Twitter handle WABetaInfo, this feature was spotted in iOS beta app (version 2.17.1.869). To retract a message, you will have to tap on the message, which will open a menu. Here you will have a new ‘revoke’ option, which will retract the message.

In Gmail, the ‘undo’ option offers anywhere between 5-30 seconds to be able to retract mails, we can expect a similar restriction in WhatsApp. Using this feature, we can delete text, images or videos sent to someone, which will also get removed from their storage. We will have to wait for an update from WhatsApp about when they will make this feature available for all stable builds.
