Xiaomi launched their latest wearable device in China, the much awaited smart watch. Xiaomi did launch a kid’s smartwatch back in May. The new smartwatch is called Amazfit, which is made in collaboration with partner Huami. Xiaomi Amazfit smartwatch is priced at CNY 799 (approx. Rs.8100), and will be available to buy from Wednesday in China.
The Xiaomi Amazfit smartwatch is claimed to be the first smartwatch with a 28nm GPS sensor. The smartwatch has dust and water resistant IP67 certification. Amazfit smartwatch comes with a ceramic bezel, which is scratch resistant.
Xiaomi Amazfit smartwatch has a 1.34-inch circular display with a resolution of 300×300 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz processor with 512MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. The 200mAh battery is rated to provide 5 days’ battery life. If the GPS is enabled, the battery life will be dropped to 30 hours. IF you using just the pedometer function, Amazfit smartwatch can provide backup up to 11.6 days.
Xiaomi Amazfit smartwatch has a heart rate sensor in the rear panel with continuous tracking. The smartwatch comes with a 22nm band, which is user replaceable. Xioami also partnered with Alibaba to make AliPay mobile payments possible with the smartwatch.
Xiaomi Amazfit smartwatch will work with any Android device if it supports the MiFit app.
