Xiaomi India in a tweet claimed that they have sold more than 2 million smartphones in India in the third-quarter of 2016. According to the company they have achieved more than 150 percent year-on-year growth from Q3 2015 to Q3 2016.
Xiaomi India Sold 2 Million Smartphones in Q3 2016
In October Xiaomi India also claimed that they have sold more than 1 million smartphones in just 18 days. This was announced by CEO Lei Jun in an open letter to employees.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Redmi 3S has played the main roll to help the company achieve this. A recent IDC lso claimed that Xiaomi for the first time made it to the top five smartphone vendors list based on shipments.
Flipkart recently claimed to have sold more than 1 million Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime smartphones in India in less than 4 months. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime was launched back in August in the country. This milestone was shared by Flipkart in social networks and even congratulated Mi India. The Redmi 3S is available in India in two variants, the 2GB Ram variant for Rs. 6,999 and the 3GB RAM variant for Rs. 8,999. Both smartphones were only available through Mi.com and Flipkart. These smartphones were sold through flash sale model and Xiaomi managed to achieve 1 million mark in less than four months.
