Some latest leaks suggest that Xiaomi is planning to launch the Xiaomi Meri or the Mi 5c smartphone on December 12 in China. It is suggested that the company will be using their own chipset in this new smartphone.

Xiaomi Mi 5c Price and Specifications
A latest leak in the Weibo suggest the Xiaomi Mei smartphone to be priced at CNY 1,499 (approx. Rs. 14,800). It might be powered by Xiaomi’s own Pine Cone processor. Xiaomi has been working on making their own processor for some time now, if the leak is true, they seem to have succeeded. The new Pine Cone chipset will compete against other chipsets like the Huawei-made Kirin chipset, and even Samsung’s Exynos chipset.
The leak also suggests the phone to be available in Rose Gold, Gold, and Black color variants. The leaked GeekBench details suggest it will be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM and ARM Mali-T860 GPU. The smartphone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based on MIUI 8 out of the box.
Another leak reveals the image of Xiaomi Meri aka Mi 5c with a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full HD display with a pixels density of 403 ppi.
