Xiaomi has also announced that Hong Kong-based actor Tony Leung will be the host for the event. Two images of Mi Note 2 have been leaked on Weibo, which shows the device will have a very thin bezel on all four sides. This image might be most probably a fake, as the previous leaks suggested the device will come with dual-curved display, just like the Samsung Galaxy S7. Previous leaks also suggested Mi Note will have a dual camera setup, the new images on reveal the front side on the smartphone.
The Mi Note 2 is expected to come with a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 X 1440 pixels. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core SoC with Adreno 530GPU. There will be dual camera setup on the rear and the phone will have 6GB of RAM. It will run on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
