Xiaomi is expected to launch their new flagship, the Mi Note 2 this month. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 might be a high end device like the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, with dual curved edge AMOLED display, powerful processor and more. Earlier this week, CEO Lei Jun mentioned that the device had already gone to mass production. Now, he has also mentioned that the ‘Mi Note 2 will come with a surprise.’
Xiaomi Mi Note 2; What to expect ?
There is no hint about what the surprise could be. It could be related to its pricing or hardware feature. Xiaomi has recently released a teaser, which hints dual rear camera setup and glass back with curved glass. This will make the Xiaomi Note 2 the third phone from the company with dual rear cameras. Xiaomi already has dual rear camera setup on the Redmi Pro and Mi 5s Plus. The dual camera was placed at the centre on Mi 5s Plus, but the Mi Note 2 might come with dual rear cameras on the top corner, just like the iPhone 7 Plus.
Xiaomi might be using a dual camera setup similar to the Redmi Pro, were one sensor capture the photo, and the second one captures depth information. This will give DSLR like boca effect to images. Mi 5s Plus uses a different setup, with two 13MP sensors, One RGB sensor and one monochrome sensor.
Based on the recent leaks, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will come with a 5.7-inch QHD (2560×1440pixels) super AMOLED dual-edge curved display. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 quad-core chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM. There be 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variants.
The dual real camera setup might use two 16MP sensors and the front camera might be 5MP. The phone will pack a 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support.
