It was expected that Xiaomi will launch Redmi 4 and Mi Note 2 within a month. But before that images of both handsets seems to have leaked online. Both handsets have metal unibodies and fingerprint sensors.
The new leaked photos of Redmi 4 are in match with the previous leaks. Redmi 4 has round edges and antenna bands at the top and bottom. The rear camera is placed at the top center with the flash on its side. There is a fingerprint sensor below the camera lens. There are appositive buttons on the front and thin bezel surround the left and right edges. Unlike other models, the MI logo is placed at the bottom of the rear side.
Redmi 4 will run MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is expected to house a 5-inch Full HD display. The handset will be powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor and 2 GB RAM. There will be 16 GB internal storage which can be expanded using a MicroSD card. Other features are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4 and 5GHz), GPS and Bluetooth 4.2. If the previous leaks are right, there will be a 3 GB RAM model as well with 32 GB internal memory. The handset might have a 4100 mAh battery just like the Redmi 3S and Redmi Note 3. Price is expected to be at CNY 699 (roughly Rs. 7,000). Xiaomi may launch the device at an event in China on August 25.
It is rumored that Xiaomi is all set to launch the new Mi Note 2 on September 2. Images of the Mi Note 2 clearly shows dual rear camera setup and curved display just like Samsung Galaxy Note 7. There is a USB Type-C port and two speaker grills at the bottom. Fingerprint sensor might be in the front button.
According to previous leaks, there will be two models based on internal storage. The 6GB/64GB version is expected to be priced at CNY 2499 (approximately Rs. 25,000) and the 6GB/128 GB version might cost CNY 2799 (approximately Rs. 28,000). Previous leaks suggest that the Mi Note 2 will sport a metal body, fingerprint scanner, AMOLED display, Snapdragon 821 SoC, and a 3600mAh battery.
