Xiaomi Redmi 5A

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A has been launched in China. The company is claiming up to 8 days of battery life for this smartphone. Like its predecessor, the Redmi 4A, this one also doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner, it runs the MIUI 9 and has some design changes. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A has been priced CNY 599 (approx. Rs. 6,000) in China.

Xiaomi Redmi 5A Specifications

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, clocked at 1.4GHz, and coupled with 2GB of RAM. It has a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with a pixel density of 296ppi. Redmi 5A comes with 16GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 128GB using a MicroSD card. This smartphone has a 13 megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, burst mode, panorama mode, HDR mode, and more. Front camera is 5 megapixel with f/2.0 aperture.

Xiaomi Redmi 5A is a dual-SIM (hybrid slot) smartphone with a 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options on the Redmi 5A include 4G with VoLTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB.

Not much is different from the current generation Redmi 4A, which are available in India. Available in India is not yet revealed by the company, may be we can expect it to happen by next month.
