Xioami launched the Yi action camera earlier this year, which was a high quality action camera just like GoPro at an affordable price. On Monday, the company launched the Yi M1 mirrorless camera at the Photokina 2016. The Xiaomi Yi M1 will start selling in China for CNY 2,199 (approx. Rs. 22,200) with a 12-40mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens or CNY 2,999 (approx. Rs. 30,200) which includes an additional 42.5mm f/1.8 portrait lens, and it will be available in White or Black color variants. The company didn’t even launch their first action camera in India, not don’t expect to buy this camera from an Indian online store, not soon at least.
Xiaomi Yi M1 Camera Specifications
Xiaomi Yi M1 is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps and 480p slow motion videos at 240fps. It can shoot still images op to 50MP in RAM and jpeg file format. It has auto focus face detection, single AF, continuous AF, Touch AF & Touch shooting.
This camera has a PASM mode dial and an additional dial for changing parameters, depending on the mode you are using at the moment. Camera interfaces very user friendly, and it designed just like a smartphone’s UI. In short even a starter should be able to figure out the settings and use the camera. Xiaomi Yi M1 comes with a 20MP micro four-thirds Sony sensor and a minimalistic design, just like Leica cameras. The Yi M1 camera uses a contrast detection auto focus system, with a total of 81 focus points.
Xiaomi Yi M1 has an ISO range of 100-25600 and burst shooting of up to 5fps. It doesn’t have flash or an EVF. The camera comes with a 3-inch touchscreen display. The lens come with a switch on the side for switching between Normal and Macro shooting.
The camera also supports WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1, it will help you to connect to other smart devices. The Yi Mirrorless Camera M1 is compact, lightweight and measures 13.5mm (W) x 64.3mm (H) x 33.6mm.
