YU came to India market by launching YU Yureka in 2014. At that time, it was the most affordable smartphone with Snapdragon chipset. Earlier this year, the company launched the YU Yureka Note. Now the company launched its third device under the Yureka series called as YU Yureka S (YU 5200). YU has added the YU Yureka S in their official website for Rs.12999.
YU Yureka S is powered by a 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core (4 performance cores clocking 1.7 GHz and 4 power-saving cores running at 1.1 GHz) processor and Adreno 405 GPU. This 2nd gen chip is claimed to have 4x performance core and 4X power saving cores. There will be 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory with Micro SD card support. YU Yureka S has a 5.2 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 423ppi pixel density and corning gorilla glass 3 protection. The handset will be running Android Lollipop 5.1.1 out of the box.
There is a 13 MP Auto Focus camera on the rear using OVI3850 PureCel sensor with f/2.2 aperture and has flash support. For selfie purposes, a 5 MP camera with F2.2 Wide Aperture and 84 degree viewing angle lens is placed on the front. Accelerometer, Proximity, light, gyro and magnetic sensors are supported by YU Yureka S. The handset comes with Wolfson Codec and Yamaha Amp for better sound reproduction. This handset uses a hybrid dual sim slot.
YU Yureka S has a 3000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 1.0 support. According to the company the battery can provide up to 9 hours of talk time and lasts up to 450 hours on standby. Other features are 4G LTE, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. The Around YU is integrated into the OS and provides shopping, travel, food, and many other services. The device measures 154.8 x 78 x 8.5 mm and weighs 172 grams.
